This event was a full day of learning about all the awesome things Drupal can do. It was great for everyone from the hardcore Drupal developer to the newbie who is just looking to learn more about this awesome platform! If you’re a Drupal developer I highly recommend checking out this group. It was put on by Matthew Lechleider from PhamilyDev.net.
Always a packed house at Orbit on Wine and Web night. And rightly so, because Andy drips amazing content on just about every topic he speaks on and tonight was no different. Great people, free wine and free pizza along with amazing information on how to integrate an effective email marketing strategy. Definitely recommend goign to an Orbit event if you have never been. Or any event that Andy Crestodina is speaking at.

So glad I went to this event. I met some other great business owners and professionals in the Oak Park area including Carla, girl I went to Percy Julian Jr High School with. I also met a couple of other gentlemen in the creative space. The meting itself was great. It is amazing how many opportunities you uncover when you get people together in a group. It still remains to be seen as to what the Village will do with the information that was uncovered.
Alexandra Eidenberg has started an insurance brokerage Insurance People, Executive Director of the Chicago Chapter of eWomenNetwork and is running for an alderman in Chicago. I bumped into Alexandra at a couple of networking events and after our second run in she reached out to grab coffee. So glad she did because she is super awesome. Very impressed with her driven nature and amazing listen skills. Listening may not seem like a big deal, but there is nothing bigger than the little things. After she listened to my self promotion Alexandra produced 6 other people that she thought would be great people for me to meet based on what I shared with her about myself and my business. My jaw dropped. I think that is the first time anyone ever did that for me. I would highly recommend getting to know Alexandra!

Linda Dao with the Chicago Chamber of Commerce is without question one of the best people in Chicago to know. She is always making valuable introductions for people in her circle. She recently sent an email introduction between myself and Jeff Molitor titled “My favorite peepes” that resulted in coffee this morning. Jeff is an amazing photographer and the head of Digital Consumer Engagement at Clique Studios in Chicago. Clique Studios is a smashing creative team that specializes in Web development, user experience (UX) design, e-Commerce and mobile design. I always enjoy meeting people who work in a similar industry as my company because it provides me with contrast. Contrast that helps me better define our company and highlight our skills. I really enjoyed meeting Jeff and looking forward to picking his brain about photography. Give him a Google and check out some of his work. Thanks Linda!
